In honor of 25th Commemoration of genocide against Tutsi, RMH organized talks on 1994 Genocide against Tutsi.
These talks that were attended by all RMH staffs lasted 2 days where every afternoon staffs would gather around a new topic.
On the first day the talks were held on the topic “The history of preparation and execution of 1994 genocide against Tutsi”. The staffs learned the history of genocide preparation from 1959 to 1994, how Tutsi were mistreated in different times and how 1994 was just a way of completing what had already been planned for many years.
On the second day the talks were held under the topic “Unity of Rwandans in rebuilding the country after genocide, the fight against genocide ideology and creating a new vision for the country”. In these talks staffs learned how genocide ideology was impacted in people’s hearts from colonial time, they also learned how the army played a big role in genocide preparation and execution. In the talks examples of cases about genocide ideology were presented to showcase how some individuals are still promoting genocide ideology among Rwandan community.
All staffs who contributed in these talks urged everyone to promote forgiveness and reconciliation wherever they are, teach their children to love their country and make serious efforts to ensure genocide will never happen again.
