Rwanda Defense Force in partnership with Drew Cares International (DCI) constructed a medical Clinic for RDF 

408 Brigade in Rusizi District. The Clinic was officially opened on 20 August 2015 by Maj Gen Mubarak uganga, 

3rd Division Commander. The Clinic is equipped with the necessary facilities to improve health care and ntribute 

to the fight against HIV/AIDS.The inaugurated Clinic will attend to male circumcision, HIV voluntary testing and counseling for the RDF personnel, their families as well as surrounding communities of the 408 Brigade Headquarter in Rusizi district.Gen Mubarak expressed thanks to all partners including Drew Cares International.

We are grateful for the partnership in support of RDF to cater for healthcare of personnel and the community, said Gen Mubarak. He further noted that Our government has strived to encourage and enable the achievement of our vision for the RDF based clinics he added.Other Brigade clinic facilities have been established in Gicumbi, Ngoma, Musanze (Mukamira), Muhanga and Huye. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Brig Gen Vincent Gatama the 408 Bde Commander, Maj Heather Okemu of the US Embassy in Kigali, Dr. Charles Hillard, the DCI's program Director, and Dr. Uwineza Placidie from Ministry of Health.
